Training Camp : Day 5

St-Jean-sur-Richelieu

Second outdoor practice
The Alouettes finally took advantage of the sun and good weather, training outside for the second time in eight days since the opening of the 2007 rookie camp. It was the Alouettes’ last practice before their first pre-season game, this Saturday in Toronto (CJAD).

Davis again!
Wide receiver Chris Davis stood out yet again, this time for his work ethic as he was seen practising one-handed catches between drills.

Newcomer shines
Newcomer Santino Hall made several exciting plays in practice, notably breaking up a long pass thrown by Marcus Brady.

Velocity
Practice was short today, as all non-special teams players gave participated in speed and conditioning exercises with Velocity, as part of a new training program.

Rest for the vets
Jim Popp announced that some veterans would not make the trip, including Anthony Calvillo, Ben Cahoon, Bryan Chiu, Dave Mudge, Robert Edwards, Anwar Stewart, Timothy Strickland, Dario Romero, Kai Ellis and Davis Sanchez.

Tomorrow
The Alouettes’ train leaves Montreal tomorrow morning at 6:55 a.m. and is scheduled to arrive in Toronto at 11:40 a.m. Players will change at the hotel before the pre-game practice, taking place at M.M. Robinson High School in Burlington.
