Official release, Montreal – The Montreal Alouettes have named Anthony Calvillo, Devone Claybrooks and Patrick Dorvélus the Alouettes Game MVPs following their Week 4 loss to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Percival Molson Stadium.
The winners are chosen following each game by the Alouettes’ coaching staff.
Offensive
Following a 354-yard, one-touchdown performance, Anthony Calvillo has been named the Als’ top offensive player for a second week in a row. Calvillo completed 33 of 38 passes and helped longtime teammate Ben Cahoon break the 100 yards receiving barrier for a 25th time.
Defensive
Rookie Devone Claybrooks has been named the Als’ top defensive player this week, having registered four tackles, one sack and a forced fumble against the Blue Bombers. A veteran of the NFL, Claybrooks was a 2003 Super Bowl Champion with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Special Teams
Veteran Patrick Dorvélus has been named Montreal’s top special teams player this week. He registered just one special teams tackle against the Bombers, but came up with several key blocks on kick returns throughout the game.
