Montreal, MontrealAlouettes.com – Montreal Alouettes Vice President, General Manager and Head Coach Jim Popp announced today three new young players, including 2006 Alouette draft pick Danny Desriveaux, have been added to the roster for the team’s upcoming training camp.
Danny Desriveaux (5’9’’, 195 lbs.) is a product of the University of Richmond, where he played two seasons. He played 11 games in 2006, registering 192 yards and one touchdown on 17 receptions. He had 281 yards on 24 catches in 2005. He began his university career at Connecticut. He is 25.
Desriveaux, defensive tackle Ryan Lucas and defensive end Kevin Winston have all signed for one year plus an option.
Ryan Lucas (6’5’’, 285 lbs.) joins the Alouettes directly from Western Washington University, where he recorded 11 tackles and a sack in 11 games in 2006. The 22-year-old played with the Vikings for three seasons.
Kevin Winston (6’3’’, 230 lbs.) joins the Alouettes following four seasons at James Madison University. He recorded 27 tackles and returned two fumbles for touchdowns in 12 games in 2006. He had an impressive seven sacks in 11 games in 2005. He is 22.
