Through this program, the players go directly into classrooms to meet with the students to talk about the importance of graduating from high school as well as about many other topics that teenagers are concerned with.

Paul Lambert, Étienne Boulay, Anwar Stewart, Shaun Diner and Luke Fritz were the principal speakers throughout the tour, supported by 11 other teammates devoted and implicated to the athletic and academic development of these kids.

The program is divided within three kinds of visits; the schools either welcoming one player, one player with Dr. Ron Clavier, or by hosting a basket-ball game with six Alouettes players challenging the school’s teachers.

Matthieu Proulx, Étienne Boulay and Shaun Diner also participated in the first program trip, stopping by schools in St-Romuald, Chicoutimi, La Tuque and St-Augustin last December.

“This program is fantastic for our students and I am convinced that it will make a major difference in the life of these kids. I can’t thank the team enough for this wonderful experience,” said Mrs. Bronsard, the École Jacques-Buteaux’ Director in La Tuque, after the Alouettes’ visit.
