Official release, Montreal – The CFL announced today its 2007 East Division All-Star team, which includes Alouettes’ slotback Ben Cahoon, defensive back Randee Drew, kicker/punter Damon Duval and guard Scott Flory.
Players were selected by 56 voting members of the Football Reporters of Canada, the CFL’s eight head coaches and fans across the country.
Ben Cahoon
Cahoon has been named an East Division All-Star for a seventh time (1999, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006). He currently leads the CFL with 87 catches this season and has 1,074 yards in 16 games. Cahoon has become the first player in Alouette history to register more than 1,000 receiving yards in six consecutive seasons.
Randee Drew
Drew is a first-time All-Star. He currently leads the Alouettes with 66 tackles and four interceptions.
Damon Duval
This is Duval’s second East Division All-Star credit, having also been named to the team in 2006. He leads the CFL this season with 5,641 punting yards and has the best punting average with 47.4 yards-per-kick.
Scott Flory
Flory is now a six-time East Division All-Star (2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006). He has not missed a game since the 2001 season.
