Montreal – Thursday night at a very wet Percival Molson Stadium, the Montreal Alouettes went to battle against the visiting Blue Bombers from Winnipeg for a second time this season in what turned out to be a 20-18 loss.
In the loss, receiver Ben Cahoon was named the Sports Experts Player of the Game by the Montreal media.
“We’re still improving as a team, and are a lot better than our record,” said Cahoon, who is the Alouettes leading receiver this season with 362 yards on 41 receptions to date.
Despite the loss, Cahoon believes the game could have easily gone the other way. “We dominated the opposition for 55 minutes; it’s very frustrating as a team.”
Some good news did manage to arrive as midway through the fourth quarter for Cahoon, who had 12 receptions for a total of 103 yards on Thursday.
He made Alouettes history once again, tying Hal Patterson with his 25th career 100-yard receiving game.
