Official release, Montreal – For the fifth consecutive year, the Montreal Alouettes’ Players’ Wives Association is organizing a food drive for those in need in the Greater Montreal Region.
Prior to Saturday’s game (Oct. 20 at 3 p.m. vs Toronto at Olympic Stadium), the players’ wives will help volunteers from Purolator and Sun Youth collect non-perishable food items and cash donations at each entrance of the stadium.
Purolator is involved for a second consecutive year and will reward everyone making a donation by giving the chance to have their picture taken with the Grey Cup. The Alouettes encourage all fans to be generous on Als’ Fan Day at Olympic Stadium. To date, the Purolator Tackle Hunger program has collected more than 1 million pounds of food.
