The Montreal Alouettes have named Ben Cahoon, Kai Ellis and Chip Cox the Alouettes Game MVPs following their Week 16 game against the Argonauts at Olympic Stadium.
The winners are chosen following each game by the Alouettes’ coaching staff.
Offence
After a few weeks off the MVP chart, Ben Cahoon is back, having caught five passes for 131 yards in his second-biggest game of the year. He has now broken the 1,000 yards receiving mark for a sixth consecutive season. He also had his career-longest catch against the Argos on a 97-yard pass-and-run play from Anthony Calvillo.
Defence
Second-year Alouette linebacker Kai Ellis is named Defensive MVP for a second game in a row. He registered five tackles and one sack.
Special teams
Chip Cox is named an MVP for the first time this season. In addition to two defensive tackles, he registered two tackles on special teams.
