Official release, Montreal – Montreal Alouettes’ Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp announced today the signing of veteran wide receiver Jamel Richardson.
Richardson (6’3’’, 215 lbs) played four seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders from 2003 through 2006, catching 113 passes for 1,471 yards and four touchdowns. He signed with the Dallas Cowboys in 2007, with whom he spent last season. The 26-year-old is originally from Syracuse, NY.
“Jamel will add depth to our receiving corps,” said Jim Popp. “We’re confident he can be a key element in our offence this year.”
Richardson is expected at the Alouettes’ training camp this May in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
