Montreal, Sept 16, 2008 – Due to a scheduling conflict, the Alouettes game this Sunday, Sept. 21 against the Edmonton Eskimos will be broadcast on TSN2 instead of TSN. As always, the game will also be aired on RDS, CKAC SPORTS and CJAD 800 AM.
It is important that our fans understand this is the only CFL game airing on TSN2 this season.
TSN2 is now available across the country on Bell TV. It is hoped more television providers will include the service soon. CFL fans across the country can also see the Sept. 21 game live on RDS and the game will be streamed live at TSN.ca.
TSN has a contractual obligation to broadcast complete coverage of golf’s Ryder Cup, which includes play on Sept. 21. The CFL has been aware of the conflict but could not move the Edmonton-Montreal game because the Alouettes’ agreement with McGill requires their home games be played on Sunday afternoons after Labour Day.
The CFL and TSN will continue to work together to bring our fans the excitement of our league.
