Montreal, Sept. 26 2008 – The Montreal Alouettes cheerleaders invite all of their fans to their annual party, being held once again this year at Radio Lounge (3553 St-Laurent, Montreal) following this Sunday’s game, starting at 8 p.m.
Tickets are available for pre-sale at Radio Lounge or through the cheerleaders for $10 and will be $12 at the door on the night of the party. The 2008 edition of the Alouettes cheerleaders will be introduced to the public with some surprises awaiting the team’s rookies… Several players are expected to be there as well, with all funds of the evening will going towards the cheerleaders’ expenses.
A Saguenay-flavoured game
For the first time in Alouettes’ history, two teams from the Saguenay region will face off at halftime of the Alouettes-Roughriders game this Sunday at Percival Molson Stadium. The two All-Star teams from the Ligue Mini-Football will feature the region’s best 10- and 11-year-olds. One team comes from Chicoutimi while the other team will represent Saguenay.
Heppell is back… on CKAC SPORTS!
The Alouettes’ French-language radio broadcaster, CKAC SPORTS, is pleased to announce that fan favorite and former Alouette, Bruno Heppell will man the mike on their airwaves starting this week. The former fullback will provide commentary while Charles-André Marchand will do the play-by-play for all Alouettes’ games through the end of the season.
The Alouettes will face the Saskatchewan Roughriders this Sunday at 1 p.m. at Percival Molson Stadium (TSN, RDS, CJAD 800, CKAC SPORTS, 98,5 FM).
