Montreal – One week after the Alouettes assured themselves home field advantage for either the East Division Semi-Final or Final, Marc Trestman’s group heads to Ivor Wynne Stadium in Steeltown to visit the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in hopes of clinching Montreal’s 15th divisional title.

Last week saw the Als (9-4-0) claim their third win of the season against a Western opponent as they dispatched of the defending Grey Cup Champion Saskatchewan Roughriders by a 37-12 score, posting over 30 points for the 12th time so far this season. Quarterback Anthony Calvillo continued to build his resumé for the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player award by throwing three touchdowns and totalling 287 yards, while Avon Cobourne returned to the lineup and posted his sixth-consecutive 100-yard rushing game – amassing 125 yards and a touchdown in his first game back since missing three with an ankle injury. While the Alouettes are looking to be viable candidates for the Nov. 23 Grey Cup game at Olympic Stadium, the Tiger-Cats are looking to salvage the remains of yet another disappointing season. Hamilton’s trip to BC last week was an unsuccessful one as rookie pivot Quinton Porter was sacked 10 times in his first career start. Porter completed 14 of his 27 passes for 144 yards with two interceptions as Hamilton (2-11) lost its sixth-straight game, 40-10. Saturday’s meeting will mark the third between the two organizations this season. The Alouettes have taken both games to date, winning convincingly in Week 1 by a 33-10 margin, before escaping with a seven-point win in Week Six.
