Montreal, Dec. 1, 2008 – The heart of the Montreal Alouettes’ operations is the team’s locker room at Olympic Stadium, where all of the most important decisions are made.
Who’s going to make the team? Who’s starting this week? Who gets signed to a new contract?
It all happens here and the Alouettes want to share the experience with you!
The team is pleased to invite its fans to its annual locker room visit presented by TELUS this Saturday, Dec. 6 from noon to 3 p.m. at Olympic Stadium (Pie IX metro).
Come meet General Manager Jim Popp and his team along with players Étienne Boulay, Danny Desriveaux, Shea Emry, Anwar Stewart and several others, the Als’ cheerleaders and team mascot, Touché!
Also on hand will be RDS personalities Pierre Vercheval, Denis Casavant and David Arsenault, who will be signing autographs in the press box.
As they do each year, the Alouettes will give fans a full tour of their locker room and will take advantage of the opportunity to collect non-perishable food items, toys and clothes for the Welcome Hall Mission. Upon making a donation, fans’ names will be entered into a draw to win Alouettes items. Fans will also be able to visit the official press box where the media work on game day.
For those who want to get an early start to their holiday shopping, Alouettes’ merchandise will be on sale. Game-worn jerseys and other Alouettes’ items will also be available for purchase, with l’Équipeur offering discounts of up to 50 per cent off on selected merchandise.
A long-time partner of the Montreal Alouettes and the Welcome Hall Mission, TELUS will do its part by making a donation of $10,000 to Welcome Hall at 1 p.m. in the Alouettes’ football operations offices. Over the last four years, TELUS has donated over $50,000 to the mission and has invited dozens of needy families to Alouettes games.
Free parking will be available at the PA-2 level of the Pierre-de-Coubertin parking garage (corner LaSalle).
