Montreal, Feb. 25, 2009 – The Montreal Alouettes will be very active in the free agent market for new cheerleaders for the 2009 season.
“We’re going into a transition phase with our cheerleading team this year as we had a handful of girls decide to hang up their pompoms following Grey Cup,” said cheeleading director, Annie Larouche. “We’re looking for fun, energetic girls with great inter-personal skills and a passion for dancing.”
The auditions will take place this Saturday, Feb. 28 at 9 a.m., in the John-Molson room of the Molson Brewery located at 1670 Notre-Dame Est.
Candidates should be prepared to cheer at every home game and practice two nights a week, as well as to be actively involved in the organization’s community initiatives.

The form must be filled out and brought to the audition along with $10 and a recent picture. The form is also available at the Alouettes’ head office at 1260 University, 1st floor. Each candidate must be at least 18 years old.
