Montreal, March 26, 2009 – Montreal Alouettes’ Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp announced today that guard Gurminder Thind has signed a three-year contract plus an option and is expected at the team’s training camp this June.
Thind (6’3’’, 285 lbs) was drafted by the Alouettes in the fourth round, 32nd overall, of the 2008 CFL Canadian Draft. He played at guard and tackle with the South Carolina Gamecocks between 2005 and 2007, playing four games in 2007 before reaggravating an injury suffered the previous year. He is 24.
The Alouettes’ training camp will begin this June 7.
