St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, June 9, 2009 – The following is the daily report from the Alouettes’ training camp for Day 3.
Indoors… in front of an attentive audience
Due to inclement weather, the Als worked out indoors at the Stade du Haut-Richelieu for the first time this year. They were fortunate, however, to have the chance to practice in front of 50 or so adoring fans in the form of students from St-Jean-sur-Richelieu’s Marcel-Landry school.
Additions
The following players have joined the Alouettes:
– Canadian defensive tackle Sean Ortiz;
– Import receiver Kevin Marion.
Subtractions
Import defensive tackle Johnny Jackson has been released, while Canadian running back Dahrran Diedrick has been added to the suspended list.
Talkin’ football with Desriveaux & Boulay
Following today’s practices, receiver Danny Desriveaux and free safety Étienne Boulay met with the kids from the Marcel-Landry school for an autograph session and a talk about the importance of working hard in school to succeed in football and in life.
Wednesday’s schedule
The Alouettes hit the field indoors at the Stade du Haut-Richelieu starting at 7:50 a.m., followed by media availability on site as of 12:35 p.m.
