St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, June 11, 2009 – The following is the daily report from the Alouettes’ training camp for Day 5.
Outside
The Alouettes practiced out at Campus du Fort St-Jean.
Subtractions
Canadian wide receiver Chad Rempel was released this morning while non-import wide receiver Kevin Marion left camp.
Addition
Non-import wide receiver Andrew Hawkins joined the team for the second practice today.
A crowded matinee
During the first practice, more than 40 students from École Charles-Bruneau, in Brossard, sat in the stands and watched their team on the field. Several fans were also on hand, patiently waiting for some autographs from their favourite players.

“We knew that training camp would be hard and intense. Still, we are learning something new every day while getting better. Coach Tresman is giving a lot to the team, particularly the way he sees things; everything matters. I think the key word here is “interconnectivity”, which emphasizes on the importance of each member on the team.”
Friday’s schedule
Back-to-back sessions will start at 8:10 a.m. at Stade du Haut-Richelieu. Player and coach media availability will follow at 11:45 a.m.
