Montreal, July 8, 2009 – When the Montreal Alouettes host the Edmonton Eskimos tomorrow night at Percival Molson Stadium, fans can expect not only a great game, but an amazing half-time show as well as major Quebec recording artists Alfa Rococo will entertain fans at the break.
The 2008 ADISQ Best New Artist winners were most recently seen performing as part of the Fête nationale celebrations on the Plains of Abraham on June 27 and now Alouette fans will have the chance to see the Félix award-winning group perform a handful of songs.
Alfa Rococo’s new album Lever l’ancre is in stores now – they will also perform at the Francofolies in Montreal this Aug. 8.
Pick your battle
Following their season-opening win over the Stampeders in Calgary last week, the Alouettes are looking to start the season with two in a row as they host the Eskimos tomorrow. Tickets are still available via the Option Play service.
Edmonton and Montreal split their season series last year and the Alouettes were winners in their third encounter of 2008, the East Division Final, a 36-26 victory for the home side at Olympic Stadium. Larry Taylor was the start of the game, returning two punts for touchdowns.
