Montreal, Sept. 15, 2009 – Montreal Alouettes linebacker Shea Emry has received the first important honour of his career, as he has been named the CFL’s Canadian Player of the Week for Week 11.

Emry recorded a personal-best seven defensive tackles and his first career sack in the Alouettes’ 28-24 win against the Lions. The two-year veteran is second on the team with 39 defensive tackles, and has also recorded two special teams tackles, two tackles for losses of four yards and one knockdown this season.
