Montreal, Sept. 17, 2009 – Montreal Alouettes’ Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp announced today that Canadian linebacker Anthony Maggiacomo and Canadian defensive back Konrad Wasiela have been added to the roster.
Maggiacomo (6’1’’, 220 lbs) played 17 games with the Blue Bombers in 2008, recording one defensive tackle and six special teams tackles. He also participated to the East Semi-Final against Edmonton. He spent five seasons with the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks, winning the 2008 Male Athlete of the Year Award. He is 25.
Wasiela (5’9’’, 180 lbs) will begin his third season in the Canadian Football League after playing three games with the Lions in 2007 and four with the Roughriders in 2008, registering one special teams tackle. He attended training camp with the Riders in 2009. A UBC product, he is 24.
