Montreal, Nov. 20, 2009 – The Montreal Alouettes are pleased to announce that renowned Québécoise songstress IMA will entertain fans at half-time as the Alouettes host the BC Lions in the Eastern Division Final at Olympic Stadium.
With five hit albums under her belt, including her latest, a Christmas record released earlier this month, IMA has become one of the biggest stars of the Quebec music scene since her making debut in 2002. Following a breakout performance in front of over 200,000 people at the 2003 Fête nationale celebrations, she made her television debut in 2006 with a lead role on Radio-Canada’s Casino.
She performed her own versions of some of her favourite songs on her 2007 album, Smile, which was a huge success and was certified gold that year before eventually going platinum. Smile was a Top 10 seller for more than 60 weeks.
The Eastern Division Final will be played this Sunday, Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. as the Alouettes host the BC Lions (RDS HD, TSN HD, CKAC SPORTS, CJAD 800 AM).
