Montreal, May 5, 2009 – The 2009 Grey Cup Champion Alouettes are pleased to once again welcome football players in the 7-10 and 11-15 age groups for the 2010 edition of the Junior Alouettes Football Camps, this May 8-9 and 15-16 at Concordia Stadium. The 14th edition of the camps is presented by SUBWAY MD restaurants.
In a constant effort to support the development of football in Quebec, the football training sessions are targeted towards kids from the ages of seven to 15 and are personalized to their physical and learning abilities, and in accordance to their age groups. Several players, including Étienne Boulay, Scott Flory, John Bowman, Bryan Chiu, Danny Desriveaux and Alouettes’ alumni Bruno Heppell and Sylvain Girard will coach and will communicate their passion and knowledge of the game and reveal the secret tips that make them pros.
“This is a great opportunity for the kids,” said Étienne Boulay, who will be coaching for a third year. “Not only will they benefit from the pros’ tips but they will also have the chance to spend two weekends with the Grey Cup Champions!”
SUBWAY MD restaurants, presenting sponsor of the Montreal Alouettes Junior Camps, and the Alouettes have been able to develop a successful game plan by creating physical activities across the province that include the importance of healthy eating, fitness and a balanced lifestyle while having fun!
As was done for the past six years, 20 kids from elementary and high schools in the Montreal region will have the chance to take part in the camps thanks to TELUS, who will assume the costs of enrolment and equipment rental if needed. This unique experience will enable them to meet professional athletes and live unforgettable moments.
