Montreal, July 7, 2010 – Montreal Alouettes’ Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp announced today that Montreal-born wide receiver Kevin Challenger has joined the Alouettes’ practice roster.
Challenger (5’8’’, 180 lbs) was drafted by the Stampeders in the second round, 14th overall, of the 2007 CFL Canadian Draft. He was traded to the Eskimos in April 2008, playing 36 games with Edmonton over two seasons and recording 166 yards on eight receptions. He played four seasons with the Boston College Eagles, recording 1,315 yards and 12 touchdowns on 110 catches. He is 28.
