Montreal, Oct. 25, 2010 – Montreal Alouettes Vice President and General Manager Jim Popp announced today that import kick returner Larry Taylor has returned to the team.
Following a spectacular 2009 season with the Als, Taylor (5’6″, 165 lbs) joined the New York Jets’ practice squad. He was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Special Teams Player last season after finishing third in combined yards with 2,040 – including a league-best 788 punt returns yards, 1,059 kickoff return yards (fifth) and 124 missed field goal return yards (second). He had three kick return touchdowns (two on punts, one on a missed field goal), which were the most by any player in 2009. The University of Connecticut product was also named an East Division and CFL All-Star.

The Alouettes have also added non-import defensive end Ivan Brown to their practice roster.
Brown (6’2″, 240 lbs) joins the team for a second time after playing six games with Montreal in 2009. He was selected by the Als in the fourth round, 31st overall, of the 2009 CFL Canadian Draft and participated in this season’s training camp.
