Montreal, Dec. 16, 2010 – The Montreal Alouettes are pleased to announce that the surgery performed on quarterback Anthony Calvillo went well and preliminary results are encouraging.
Calvillo underwent surgery for a lesion on his thyroid gland at the Montreal General Hospital today. The surgery was performed by Dr. Roger Tabah, accompanied by Dr. Richard Payne.
Final pathology information will be received in a few weeks.
Mr. Calvillo, who is expected to have an uneventful recovery, thanks everyone for their support and encouragement.
