Montreal, Feb. 22, 2011 – The Montreal Alouettes’ cheerleaders will continue to make sure that there are no dull moments at Als home games this season. Auditions will be held to fill the 28 positions that are available on the 2011 cheerleading team this Saturday, February 26, at the John-Molson room of the Molson Breweries, starting at 9 a.m.
Candidates will learn a short choreography in the morning and 50 girls will then be chosen to perform that same choreography in front of a panel of judges in the afternoon. These judges will then choose the 28 cheerleaders who will join the 2011 edition of the team.
Candidates must be aged 18 and over and have prior dancing experience (jazz, hip-hop, funk). Those interested in participating in the auditions can do so by filling out the registration form which can be found here.
