Montreal, May 11, 2010 – Kids from the Ottawa-Gatineau region will have a unique chance to learn from the 2010 Grey Cup Champions at the Stade du Complexe sportif Mont-Bleu this Saturday, May 14, when Alouettes’ players will hold the first edition of the Alouettes’ Clinic, presented by SUBWAY® restaurants.
Kids aged seven to fifteen years-old will be taught the fundamentals of football while perfecting their skills and knowledge of the game as they train alongside professional players who have been part of the last two Grey Cup championship teams.
Eric Deslauriers, wide receiver and two-time Grey Cup champion who grew up in the Ottawa-Gatineau region, will accompany his teammates Martin Bédard, Danny Desriveaux, Kristian Matte, John Bowman, Nickolas Morin-Soucy and Diamond Ferri for the occasion. Former Alouettes Bruno Heppell and Matthieu Proulx, who is also from the region, will be coaching the kids.
As part of the Alouettes’ continuing effort to support the development of football in Quebec, the football clinic is targeted towards kids between the ages of seven to fifteen, and is personalized to their physical and learning abilities, and in accordance to their age groups. Alouettes players will coach and communicate their passion as well as their knowledge of the game, revealing the secret tips that make them pros.

The first-ever Alouettes’ Clinic is presented by SUBWAY® restaurants, in collaboration with TELUS, and with the help of the Gatineau Vikings and the City of Gatineau.
