Sherbrooke, June 12, 2011 – A good sign that the team’s first pre-season game is fast approaching, the Alouettes dedicated a large portion of their afternoon practice yesterday to game simulations, including a number of exercises which mimicked the final three minutes of a game, thus raising the intensity level a notch at training camp.
The good news for Marc Trestman’s men is that on Thursday night, when the Winnipeg Blue Bombers visit Percival Molson Stadium, they will finally be able to start hitting and tackling their opponents instead of their teammates.

Referee on-site
Another sign that the players and coaches will be finding themselves under game conditions shortly was the presence of referee André Proulx on-site during Sunday’s practice at the Complexe Sportif Rollan-Dussault, which was hosting the session due to inclement weather.
Proulx observed the practice and met with the defensive backs following its completion.
“We’re very grateful that he was willing to take time out of his Sunday to come see us,” said Head Coach Marc Trestman.

Training camp continues Monday at Coulter Field with back-to-back practices scheduled to begin at 7:50 a.m.
