Montreal, July 15, 2011 – Former Montreal Alouettes player and coach, Ralph Goldston, died last Saturday at the age of 82.
Following a short stint in the National Football League, Goldston went on to continue his career in the Canadian Football League with both the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Montreal Alouettes.
He helped the Tiger-Cats win two Grey Cups in 1957 and 1963 before retiring as an Alouette in 1965. Following his playing career, he then served as a defensive coach with the Montreal Alouettes.
His funeral will be held at the Sterling McCullough Williams Funeral Home in Youngstown, Ohio on Saturday, July 23rd.
Goldston is survived by his wife, Sarah, his son Ralph Jr., his three daughters, Ursula, Beverly and Monique, and five grandchildren.
