Montreal – Fans who have followed the Alouettes over the past few years are well aware of the special role which music has played in the Montreal locker room. In each of the past two seasons, a prevailing locker room theme song has emerged among the team’s players, and one need not look further than the 2009 and 2010 Grey Cup Championship parades to know what they were, as the team celebrated the first of its back-to-back wins to the tune of the Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling,” and the second to Yolanda Be Cool’s “We No Speak Americano.”
It’s no coincidence then that the Alouettes have an impressive stereo system set up in their Olympic Stadium locker room, and although 2011’s theme song has not yet emerged, that’s not to say that the players don’t each have their own musical preferences.
