MONTREAL – The Montreal Alouettes announced on Sunday that Marcus Brady has been named the team’s offensive coordinator after spending the last three seasons as the club’s receiver coach.
Under Brady in 2011, Jamel Richardson led all CFL receivers with 1,777 yards while setting a new league record with 12 games with 100 or more receiving yards. Fellow receiver S.J. Green also flourished with Brady’s guidance this past year, surpassing the 1,000 yard mark in a season for the first time in his professional career.
A former quarterback who enjoyed a seven-year CFL career, Brady spent three seasons with the Alouettes where he worked closely with Anthony Calvillo, serving as his understudy from 2006 through 2008.
