Wondering who will come out on top in Week 1 of the NFL playoffs? Who better than the Alouettes themselves to help you navigate through your postseason picks with their gridiron expertise? We got Anwar Stewart, John Bowman, Shea Emry, Ramon Guzman and Luc Brodeur-Jourdain to flex their prognosticating muscle.
Always eager to rag on one another, the quintet of Als teammates were more than happy to single out which of them was most likely to finish dead last in this playoff pool.
“You know what, to tell you the truth, probably me,” shrugged Emry with a smile.
In what might prove to be a bad omen for Emry, his teammates agreed with him as Shea received the most votes in the dubious category.
Stewart meanwhile received no votes himself as a potential cellar dweller.
“Nobody picked me to finish last, because they know that I’m the sports guy on the team,” beamed Stewart. “If there’s one thing I know, it’s sports.”
Although confident he will end up on top once a Super Bowl champ is crowned in Indianapolis on February 5, Stewart did have a sleeper contender in mind.
“I don’t know what it is about him, but LBJ is always lucky with these types of things,” warned Stewart of Brodeur-Jourdain. “I’m sure that he will do just fine with his predictions.”
