MONTREAL – Non-import safety Daryl Townsend continued adding to his special teams tackles tally last Friday night at Percival Molson Stadium against the Toronto Argonauts and earned Special Teams Player of the Week honours for his work.

Townsend had a career performance, racking up a personal best and game-high four special team tackles last week.
The Windsor, ON native now has a team-best 11 special teams tackles on the year, and is tied for the CFL lead with Saskatchewan’s Samuel Hurl.
This is the first time in his young career that the second year player receives the honour. Townsend has recorded at least one special teams tackle in every game this season.
The former product with the Windsor Lancers in the CIS made his debut last season with the Alouettes in the East Semi-Final at Olympic Stadium last November.
