MONTREAL – While much of the week’s headlines have centred who will not be in the lineup this Sunday against the Argonauts, the player set to return to action for the Alouettes is raring to go.
The team’s receiving yards leader before injuring his knee against the Tiger-Cats four weeks ago, Brandon London is feeling tip-top and the fact that his team is preparing to face the second-place Argos is an added bonus.

“I sure know how to pick’em,” beamed London of the Als key game against Toronto who sits just a game behind Montreal. “I wanted to come back last week, but I didn’t want to rush my return either. I was feeling good, but now I see the difference a week makes. My return couldn’t have been scripted any better, playing in a game with playoff implications. I wasn’t about to miss this one.”
London’s highly anticipated return will certainly add firepower to the Alouettes already impressive prolific receiving corps, especially in the absence of Brian Bratton.
“It’s been a long four weeks, but my time has come,” professed the 27-year-old, who didn’t show any lingering effects from his injury during Thursday’s practice at Stade Hebert. “I’ve been working on stabilizing and strengthening all of the muscles and ligaments around the MCL during rehab. I’m actually coming back before the expected time table, which is always a great sign.”
London has recovered remarkably quickly and just in time to avenge Montreal’s lone loss at home this season suffered against the Argos in Week 5.
“This is a game that’s been circled on my calendar ever since they came into our house and beat us in July,” revealed London. “We’re two teams that are playing great football right now, and we want to improve to 6-1 at home this season and stay in first place in the East Division.”
Notes: The team has announced the release of import running back Emmanuel Marc, who rejoined the team yesterday … The team also announced today the signing of import defensive tackle Scooter Berry from the University of West Virginia … Full back Dahrran Diedrick will be not be in the lineup on Sunday because of a hamstring injury … Cornerback Billy Parker practiced with the team but is still expected to miss Sunday’s game.
