MONTREAL – After travelling thousands of kilometres since beginning its cross-country journey in Vancouver, the CFL’s 100th Grey Cup Train has finally arrived in Montreal and will open its doors to fans Saturday at Place des Vestiges in the Old Port.

Beginning at 10:00 a.m. and running through 4:00 p.m., CFL fans young and old will get to celebrate the game of football and the rich history of the Grey Cup on this one-of-a-kind train that also showcases each of the league’s eight teams, and of course, the Grey Cup itself. Fans will also be able to have their photo taken with the fabled trophy.
The Old Port of Montreal will be transformed into the ultimate fan festival complete with football-themed obstacle courses, interactive games and face-painting. There will be an autograph area with Alouettes alumni, an onsite BBQ, and other surprises in store.
Those on hand will be also be able to watch the Alouettes take on the Roughriders on a giant screen beginning at 3:30 p.m. The game will be preceded at 2:30 p.m. by an exclusive sneak peek of the French version of TSN’s Engraved on a Nation documentary on Anthony Calvillo.
Bring your folding chairs and passion for the Alouettes and the CFL on Saturday. The Grey Cup will be there waiting for you.
Notes: The Grey Cup will be in and around Montreal leading up to Saturday’s festivities in the Old Port, including Thursday night at 8:00 p.m. at RONA in Anjou .
