MONTREAL – The Alouettes announced on Wednesday that the team will return to Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke for their 2013 training camp.

For a fourth consecutive year, the Alouettes will hold all workouts and practices on-campus at Coulter Field, as newly-appointed head coach Dan Hawkins and General Manager Jim Popp will catch a first glimpse of their players on-field and in Alouettes uniforms when camp opens on Sunday, June 2. No less than 75 players are expected to hit the field on that day.
“We are very happy to return to Bishop’s for a fourth consecutive year. The university offers our players and coaches first class facilities as well as an atmosphere that allows them to keep their concentration at the highest level during this important learning phase,” said Popp. “We welcome our fans, media, and local-area schools to visit daily because we will make the time to answer all of your questions. Training camp is the best way to get to see your favorite players up close and personal.”
The Alouettes will play two pre-season games during training camp – June 13 in Montreal at Percival Molson Stadium opposite the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and June 20 at Toronto’s Varsity Stadium opposite the Argos.
All practices during training camp will be open to the public. The 2013 training camp schedule will be available shortly at MontrealAlouettes.com.
The Alouettes will kick-off their regular season on Thursday June 27 when they help open a brand-new stadium in Winnipeg against the Blue Bombers in the first-ever game at Investors Group Field. The following week, Montreal will host its first home game of the 2013 regular season when Winnipeg visits Percival Molson Stadium on July 4 at 7:00 p.m.
