MONTREAL – The Alouettes announced on Friday that the club has added import offensive lineman Nic Purcell to the team’s practice roster.
Purcell (6’6”, 305 lbs.) signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as a rookie free agent during the 2013 offseason after participating in the team’s rookie mini-camp.
The 28-year-old played two seasons at Golden West Community College in Southern California. The native of Auckland, New Zealand, started his collegiate career as a defensive lineman in 2011 only to move to the offensive line the following season, starting nine of ten games as a second-year player.
