MONTREAL – The Alouettes got a hand from some unusual allies on Saturday as the Toronto Argonauts defeated the Blue Bombers 26-20 to eliminate Winnipeg from the 2013 CFL playoff picture and punch Montreal’s ticket to the post-season.
The Alouettes have never missed the playoffs since returning to Montreal in 1996, holding the longest active playoff streak in the CFL with what will be an 18th consecutive post-season appearance this November.

Montreal can still host the 2013 East Semi-Final by winning out the remainder of the season, beginning with Sunday’s start of a crucial home-and-away series with the Tiger-Cats at Percival Molson Stadium.
