MONTREAL – The Alouettes would like to thank DT Moton Hopkins for the hard work and dedication he displayed with the team over the last three seasons. Hopkins was selected by the Ottawa REDBLACKS in the first round of today’s CFL expansion draft.

“Moton is a true gentleman on and off the field. He plays hard and has a tremendous work ethic, making a remarkable comeback in 2013 after missing the entire 2012 season with a career-threatening blood clot. We wish him nothing but the best and hope to have him back in an Alouettes uniform in the future.”
