The Alouettes and TELUS continued their annual tradition of bringing smiles to the faces of close to 100 children with activities that ranged from storytelling to colouring. Players spent part of the day at each visit signing autographs, talking to, and taking photos with the children while creating lasting memories for everyone involved. To highlight their visits, the Alouettes also distributed gift bags filled with surprises featuring TELUS celebrity animals.

“They’re an inspiration to all of us,” explained Alouettes long snapper Martin Bédard. “Just being able to come see them smile and to interact with them is a truly amazing feeling. They’re brave and we need to continue supporting all kids in need.”

The hospital visits were made possible through the support of TELUS. Over the span of both visits, TELUS donated a total of $15,000 between the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation and to the Montreal Children’s Foundation.

“At TELUS, we find that it is primordial to make sure that sick children have access to quality care,” said Kasra Moozar, Vice-President, Sales and Business Development at TELUS. “To emphasize its 13-year partnership with the Alouettes, TELUS participates in the Touch the Hearts tour every year so that young kids get a chance to meet their favourite players. A day like this one can give them enough courage to make it through difficult times at the hospital.”
