LENNOXVILLE – After a three-day hiatus surrounding the team’s pre-season game in Hamilton, the Montreal Alouettes were back at practice on the campus of Bishop’s University on Monday as the team wraps up its final week of training camp.

RECAP: MONTREAL 23 – HAMILTON 28 »

Quarterback Troy Smith was back with his teammates and didn’t look any worse for wear following his absence as he completed a long touchdown pass to receiver Éric Deslauriers during his first series behind centre.

“I’ve been studying a lot and taking care of my body,” explained Smith following practice. “Everything was preventive.”

QUICK HITS

Linebacker Kyries Hebert was also back with his teammates on Monday, although he didn’t partake in any drills … Receiver Chad Johnson was back in the lineup, taking reps with the first-string offence … Defensive back Jerald Brown continues to show his All-Star form from a year ago, as he picked off another pass during practice on Monday.
