MONTREAL – Big city. Bright lights.
After three weeks of training camp on the campus of Bishop’s University surrounded by the rolling hills of Sherbrooke, QC, the Alouettes will finally be back in Montreal on Thursday, and this time they’ll be arriving in style.
Backdropped by the heart of downtown Montreal, outdoors in the footprint of iconic Place Ville-Marie, Alouettes fans can meet the entire 2014 roster for the first time this season at the team’s official TELUS Player Presentations.
Beginning at noon, on the eve of Friday’s first pre-season home game, stadium announcer Jacques Moreau will be on-hand on the Place Ville-Marie terrace to introduce the full Alouettes line-up a day before the club takes on the Ottawa REDBLACKS at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium.
Quarterback Troy Smith will also address the crowd on the same day that new star receiver Chad Johnson arrives in his adopted city for the first time, and the entire team will be available to sign autographs following the player presentations.
But it wouldn’t be an Alouettes event without team cheerleaders, who will also be on-site to take pictures and mingle with fans.
