MONTREAL – The Alouettes announced on Wednesday that the club has added quarterback Zach Zulli to the practice roster.
Zulli (6’01”, 205 lbs.) won the Harlon Hill Trophy in 2012, an award given to the individual selected as the most valuable player in NCAA Division II, during his third season with the Shippensburg University Raiders (Pennsylvania). During that same year, the 23-year-old threw for 4,747 yards and 54 TDs, good for second- and first-place, respectively, across all divisions of college football that season.
The Schwenksville, PA native completed his college career with 10,988 passing yards and 123 touchdown passes, in addition to rushing for 675 yards on the ground. He participated in the Seattle Seahawks mini-camp this spring.
Beaulieu on injured list
The Alouettes also announced on Wednesday that fullback Jean-Christophe Beaulieu was placed on the six-game injured list following a knee injury suffered on Saturday against the Stampeders.
