MONTREAL – When longtime coach Don Matthews returned to the Alouettes as a consultant to head coach Tom Higgins a week ago, the two CFL skippers finally came full-circle since first going head-to-head in the 2002 Grey Cup representing Montreal and Edmonton respectively.
Now on the same side after being bitter back-to-back Grey Cup rivals just over a decade ago — and the Eskimos in town on Friday to boot — we got to thinking about what else has changed over the last dozen years in both the world of Canadian football and at large.
