MONTREAL – The Montreal Alouettes announced on Tuesday that the club has added international defensive end Caesar Rayford to the practice roster.
Rayford (6’7”, 285 lbs) suited up for three seasons with the University of Washington Huskies before signing his first professional contract with the BC Lions in 2009. The Leesville, Louisiana native continued his career with the Spokane Shock in the AF2 where he was a member of the 2009 championship-winning team. The 28 year-old defensive end wore the Utah Blaze colours in the Arena Football League where he recorded 57 defensive tackles as well as 28,5 sacks in four seasons. Rayford made the leap into the NFL in 2013 with the Indianapolis Colts before being traded to the Dallas Cowboys where he amassed five defensive tackles in seven outings. He also played for the AFL Jacksonville Sharks following his stay in the NFL.
