MONTRÉAL – The Montreal Alouettes will present for the first time the Bruno Heppell Subway Elite Football Camp. Member of the media are invited to attend the activities throughout the week. From March 1-6, the 130 registered young football players will partake in numerous activities as they will get to hear from professionals from the football world and listen to conferences that will touch a multitude of aspects that relate to their favourite sport.
The Montreal Alouettes recently repatriated the Bruno Heppell Subway Elite Football Camp within the organization, taking advantage of another opportunity to be even more implicated in minor football in Quebec. All while perfecting their skills and technique, the young players will have the chance to learn from and discuss with guest speakers such as current NFLer Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, Alouettes coach André Bolduc and Doctor Sylvain Guimond, current Alouettes Josh Bourke, Nicolas Boulay and Samuel Fournier, as well as their mentor for the week, Bruno Heppell.
The acquisition of the Bruno Heppell Subway Elite Football Camp follows the organization’s will to help young football players become better and surpass themselves, all while having fun. While football is thriving in Quebec, this initiative also aims at helping the players learn more about such values as team-work, perseverance, self-esteem and respect. This year, 40 bursaries were handed out in order to allow young athletes to partake in the Bruno Heppell Subway Elite Football Camp. These bursaries are offered to young players to not only allow them to become better football players, but also motivate them to reach higher academic levels.
