Postgame: Alouettes vs. REDBLACKS

Ottawa – Despite a beautiful autumn evening, the REDBLACKS have earned the victory against the Montreal Alouettes by the score of 39-17.

After opening the game with a two-and-out, Montreal started Rakeem Cato strung together a pair of first downs and the Als answered with a 38-yard field goal off the foot of Boris Bede to cut the REDBLACKS lead to 7-3.

In the fourth quarter, Anthony Boone entered for his first CFL action.

Cato finished the evening 12 of 17 for 74 yards, no touchdowns or interceptions.

After the game was well in hand, Boone connected for his first career major with sam Giguere but could not put make good on a two-point conversion.

With under a minute remaining, Als slotback Nik Lewis hauled in his 855th career pass, leaping over Milt Stegall for 7th all-time on the League’s receptions list. 

The game finished with a touchdown when Fred Stamps hauled in his second as an Alouette on a pass from Boone.
