William Stanback named among CFL players of the week

Following another strong outing against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Saturday, Alouettes running back William Stanback was named one of the CFL’s players of the week on Tuesday.

Stanback was a double threat in the Alouettes backfield, helping the team close off the 2018 season with a 30-28 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The 24-year-old running back caught five passes for 103 yards, while carrying the ball six times for 31 yards.

The Alouettes Most Outstanding Rookie and Most Outstanding Special Teams Players in 2018 finished the season with 1,316 total yards, including 539 rushing yards and 313 receiving yards.
