The Montreal Alouettes announced on Wednesday that the club has added international defensive back Ciante Evans to the roster.
Evans (5’11”, 195 lbs.) helped the Calgary Stampeders win the Grey Cup last fall, making 29 defensive tackles, two interceptions, while forcing one fumble in 14 games. In 48 career-games in the CFL, the Fort Worth, TX native amassed 127 defensive tackles, while pilfering nine passes and forcing three fumbles.
The 26-year-old was elected a CFL All-Star in 2017 as well as a CFL West All-Star in 2018. The former University of Nebraska Cornhusker lined up for the Salt Lake Stallions in the AAF this winter, making four tackles in as many games.
