Jennifer Bellerose – June 6 National Anthem
Jennifer Bellerose, a 12-year-old music student from Sherbrooke, will be singing the national anthem during our preseason home game on June 6. At such a young age, she already has an impressive track record, and it’s not looking like it’s about to slow down. She’s been travelling through Quebec, Ontario and the Maritimes to perform the national anthem for different teams, including the Québec Remparts and the Université de Montréal Carabins.
Blitz de Montréal – June 6 Half-Time
The Montreal Blitz is the only elite women’s contact football team in Québec. Since 2008, the team has won four championships in the IWFL (Independant Women’s Football League) and has made a name for itself on a national level by winning the Canadian Championship in 2012.
The Montreal Blitz’s mission is to allow contact in women’s football and to promote and encourage passion for this sport in Québec. We’re proud to support them and can’t wait to see them in action at halftime at our preseason home game on June 6!
Zach Zoya – July 4 Half-Time
We will have the pleasure to watch Zach Zoya, a rising star of the Montreal hip-hop scene, light up the stage during halftime at our Home Opener on July 4! He has already performed at many events, including the Festival d’Été de Québec (where he was a finalist for the prix Espoir FEQ) and the Montreal International Jazz Festival, as well as at Metro Metro this past May. Since releasing his first two singles, Superficial and Who Dat, he has caught the attention of the most important Montreal beatmakers and sparked the interest of a few global music labels.
Sarah Dufour – July 20 National Anthem
Sara Dufour wrote her first songs in her hometown of Dolbeau-Mistassini, performing them in front of her grandmother’s tenants.
On her most recent album, the singer renews herself by adding a broad range of new rock and roaring electric guitar sounds to her tunes and captivating her listeners with her intimate lyrics.
Hanorah – August 2 National Anthem
Eternally inspired by rock and soul, the Montreal singer Hanorah was a quarter-finalist on La Voix 5. She muses on the intersection of romance and trauma. Inspired by slam poetry, lyrics are delivered in a soulful voice that is equally joyful and heartbreaking.
Damien Robitaille – August 9 National Anthem
Damien Robitaille is a Canadian musician from the Franco-Ontarian village of Lafontaine. He released his 4th and most recent album, Univers Parallèles, in April 2017, and got raving reviews. This past May, he was nominated in 10 categories at the Trille Or Gala and left with two awards.
RrKelly – August 9 Half-time
DJ Kelly St-Pierre, aka Rr Kelly, has been active in the underground hip-hop scene since the late 90s. The turntable savant knows how to hype up a crowd like nobody else.
Philippe Brach – September 6 National Anthem
Philippe Brach is the stage name of Philippe Bouchard, a Canadian singer-songwriter from Saguenay, Quebec. He was the winner of the Francouvertes festival in 2014, only two years after launching his career in 2012. His third album, Le silence des troupeaux, released in 2017, was a huge hit and won many awards.
LaF – September 6 Half-time
LaF is a French hip-hop group from Montreal, made up of three rappers (Bkay, Mantisse and Jah Maaz), and three beatmakers. The group was crowned the winner of the Francouvertes festival in 2018. Since then, things have been moving fast for the group! This past April, LaF announced the release of their single Tour du Monde, their deal with the music label 7e Ciel and an official first album expected for September 2019
Les Breastfeeders – September 21 Half-time
Since 1999, Les Breastfeeders are renowned for their explosive performances. This Montreal-based rock monster has proved that rock’n’roll is still up and alive, charming critics and public alike with their albums Déjeuner sur l’herbe (2004), Les matins de grands soirs (2006), which was also released in France, and most recently with their album Dans la gueule des jours (2011). They’ve played in over 350 shows in Canada, the USA and Europe, and will be playing at halftime on September 21.
Pascale Picard – October 5 National Anthem
With her trusty guitar in hand, Pascale Picard has been performing in bars all over her native Quebec City ever since she turned 18.Thanks to the enviable reputation she acquired with her first two successful albums, she was selected as the interpreter for the soundtrack of the popular TV drama series, Trauma in 2012. In 2017, Pascale took a break from music and devoted herself completely to her new role as a mother. She then fell head first into a prolific creative period and launched her latest record The Beauty We’ve Found.
Minstrels of Hope – October 26 National Anthem
The Minstrels of Hope is a service-oriented choral group from the Philippines. This truly inspirational choir comprises 11 ladies, ranging from 16 to 30 years old, all coming from the hard scrabble world of the urban poor, but who also bring hope, joy and inspiration to all those around them. In this way, the Minstrels of Hope fight poverty as a group. Their goal is to raise awareness and help communities in need.
